Biggest Battle, Biggest Dream Pt2 (S1:E4)

In the first part of this two-part mini-series on my podcast, “Truly, Truly Tenay,” I delve into the concept of creating healing communities tailored for individuals battling chronic illnesses, drawing from my own experience with chronic fatigue syndrome.

Initially, I envision a model akin to alcohol and drug rehabilitation centers, providing comprehensive services in a controlled environment conducive to healing. However, I acknowledge the limitations of such crisis intervention models, which prompts me to imagine a more sustainable approach: a healing community model. In this community, individuals could lead relatively normal lives while prioritizing their healing journey.

To ensure economic viability and promote self-sustainability, I propose a multifaceted approach involving alternative housing, sustainable agriculture, and renewable energy sources. By reducing economic burdens and fostering a supportive, multigenerational community structure, residents could prioritize healing without sacrificing their quality of life.

As my dreams expand, I envision how making these communities employee- and resident-owned can help them be replicated and adapted globally. With an exit strategy in place, my ultimate goal is to empower communities to thrive independently, spreading the principles of holistic healing and sustainable living.

If you’re interested in investing in this vision or sharing your own experiences and dreams, I invite you to reach out through our website at benescompanies.com. Together, we can revolutionize public health and promote a more compassionate and empowered approach to healing. Thank you for listening, and I look forward to continuing this journey with you.
