NEW SERIES on The Brett Benes Podcast!

A therapist, a priest, and a philosopher walk into a… podcast!

I (Brett) am so excited to release this first episode of the Healer Mashup series! I’ve been looking forward to this for a LONG time!

In this first episode of the Healer Mashup series, I host a fascinating discussion with Fr. Christopher Gaffrey, OFM, a Franciscan priest and spiritual director, and Vance Hansen, a therapist specializing in trauma and addiction counseling. Together, they explore the intersection of spiritual and psychological healing in both their personal and professional experiences, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between different domains of care. In the episode, I introduce them to hypothetical case studies of people who are struggling, and they demonstrate how integrating spiritual and psychological approaches can lead to more profound healing experiences.

I couldn’t be happier for how this turned out. Not only was it amazing to witness a conversation between two skilled professionals of their respective fields, but both guests expressed how the exercises opened their eyes to the possibilities of building collaborative relationships with people of different fields to elevate the healing experience of their clients!

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Lookout for more conversations like these in the coming months!
