🎯 So happy to see the analysis we just got back from University of Colorado Boulder Math whizzes in the Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Statistical Analysis
I gave them the data from our features survey for The Care We Need Website—and the findings are validating what I suspected, PLUS revealing one surprising item.
In October 2025, we showed videos describing website wireframes for seven features to 114 Americans across the U.S. and asked them to rate which features might be the most useful for someone navigating a complex illness healing journey.
Here’s what stood out.
What did the data say?
✅ **People with a lot of experience with chronic illness wanted all seven features**. (I knew it!)
People who’ve personally experienced the complexity of trying to get a diagnosis, trying to find the right care professionals, and managing all of their appointments and meds—they know the pain points that The Care We Need Website is built to overcome.
✅ **Newcomers to chronic illness have simpler needs** (but they still want them solved).
Our all-care-model, all-care-sector, all-payment-option professional directory with automated referrals is meeting exactly what this group needs—no bells and whistles, just accessible information and easy next steps.
❌ **Age and income did not correlate to how useful participants found features** (meaning these features are valid for everyone navigating complex illness, regardless of who they are or where they come from.)
Experience with complex illness was all that mattered.
Were your findings statistically relevant?
The analysis gave us two validated user clusters with high statistical confidence. This means that two groups of people with similar backgrounds made similar choices when asked to rate feature usefulness.
As our largest groups, Experienced Users and Simplicity Users, together made up over 50% of the sample (over 70 people), and we only needed 40 people to behave in a clustered way, this made our findings more than statistically relevant.
It also confirmed that the order of features that we will be rolling out (our product roadmap) is hitting real, data-backed user needs!
How can I help with your website?
Proud of the rigor here—our data team (shout-out to Joel and Rigved) built bulletproof clustering models and gave us findings we can actually take to investors with confidence.
Almost ready to turn this into prototype into product. 🚀
